Adam Thielen grew up in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, to Pete and Jayne Thielen, and idolized Pro Football Hall of Fame wide receivers Cris Carter and Randy Moss, wearing their Vikings jerseys while practicing in his backyard as a child.
