Crystal Gayle whose real name is Brenda Gail Webb was born on January 9, 1951. She is an American country music singer best recognized for her 1977 hit “Don’t It Make My Brown Eyes Blue”.

The American singer was born in Paintsville, Kentucky. Crystal Gayle began her career in the 1960s when she performed as a background singer in Lynn’s band.

Crystal went on to have success from the late 1970s and through the late 1980s. She is the recipient of hits accolades which include “Ready for the Times to Get Better” (1977), “Talking in Your Sleep”, “Half the Way”, and “You and I”.
