The famous Sommore is an American comedian and actress. Known as the Diva of Contemporary Comedy, her comedic style features biting sarcasm and frank discussions about money, sex, and equality between the sexes.

Sommore and fellow African American female comedians Mo’Nique, Laura Hayes, and Adele Givens were the stars of The Queens of Comedy tour, which was filmed and subsequently aired on Showtime and released on DVD. Sommore launched the worldwide premiere of “The Queen Stands Alone” on September 30, 2008. The release of her stand-up comedy special was a film version of her stand-up act and was written and produced by Sommore as well as her entertainment company One Thousand Kisses, Inc.

Long rose to prominence after starring in the film Boyz n the Hood and playing the role of Beullah Lisa Wilkes on the NBC sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. She then starred in Friday and the 1997 films Love Jones and Soul Food.

Long appears in the video for Kanye West’s Touch the Sky. She directed Yolanda Adams’s music video for This Too Shall Pass. She won an NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series in 2004 for her performance on Third Watch. Long co-directed and appeared in Ashanti’s music video, Baby.
