According to the local police, Dutch rapper  Rapper Boechi Windster was shot and killed in Willemstad, Curaçao.

The 30-year-old rapper from Tilburg was well-known for creating music in the Papiamentu Creole language and had Antillean ancestry. He was there for his scheduled performances on the island.

The police were informed that shots had been fired at a food truck overnight on Thursday and Friday. Officers arrived and saw a man lying on the ground with gunshot wounds to his torso and no signs of life.

Police also discovered a lot of shot casings in the neighborhood. According to the NOS, a police doctor determined that Boechi had passed away around 1 a.m.

Bystanders claimed it was a drive-by gunshot, according to the local newspaper Extra.

They said that a white automobile passed by, fired a few shots at the rapper, and then continued driving. Boechi and the passengers are believed to have argued before the shooting, but the police are unable to confirm this.
