Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union pulled up to the Truth Awards together with their daughter, Zaya. This was Zaya’s first red carpet appearance, and the family addressed a few words about living in your truth.

Both Dwyane and Gabrielle have been really supportive of Zaya, but they also received lots of shade for this reason.

Someone said: ‘The fact that the Wades are so OPEN is admirable. 🙏🏽😇’

Another follower posted this: ‘Such an amazing inspirational family. It’s sad that people on this page are so ignorant and full of hate. I hope y’all put as much effort into your own children as you do theirs. Be blessed 🙃.’

One person shaded the family and wrote: ‘All I know GOD Does NOT make mistakes. What HE creates is what it is. Apple will never be Orange remember that. It’s all Commonsense. If you got touched by wicked people from thy youth, God will fight those demons for you. Baby Boy got touched and brainwashed at a young age. Keep getting that in my spirit.’

Dwyane shared a photo of the family which he captioned with these words:

He also shared a photo featuring Zaya alone:
