Siouxsie Sioux who was born Susan Janet Ballionat birth is an English singer, songwriter, guitarist, and record producer born on May 27, 1957. She was the Siouxsie and the Banshees’ (1976–1996) primary vocalist.

Siouxsie traveled to Hawaii in 1983 to record the Creatures’ debut album, Feast, which featured the top-charting song “Miss the Girl.” It was her first foray into exotica, with local percussion, Hawaiian choruses, and wave noises.

Later that year, Siouxsie and Budgie released “Right Now,” a Mel Tormé song with brass parts that the Creatures had re-orchestrated.

Her parents, Elizabeth Betty Ballion, and Marc Ballion got married and spent some time working in that colony. Betty, her mother, was a secretary who could speak French and English. She was of Scottish and English ancestry.

Her father was a bacteriologist from Wallonia, the French-speaking region of Belgium, who collected snake venom. Before Siouxsie was born, the family relocated to England in the middle of the 1950s.
