Villegas is a fantastic cook, and loves to grill fresh shrimp with garlic. "Typically, all shellfish is low in calories and a good source of protein and healthy fats, as well as a good array of nutrients, including zinc, B12, iron and selenium," says registered nutritionist Nicola Shubrook. Villegas enjoys sharing recipes with her fans, including one that features green beans.  You can get B vitamins even if you're vegan or vegetarian," says Irina Todorov, MD. "Beans (legumes), whole grains, fruits and vegetables – especially leafy greens – are really good sources of B vitamins. Unfortunately, legumes are not a major part of the American diet, but they're good for you in so many ways. Legumes, also known as pulses, are a food group that consists of beans, lentils and garbanzo beans. They help you maintain good health because they're packed with plant-based protein and fiber and can lower your blood sugar and cholesterol."

Villegas has spoken before about her love for chamomile tea. "Chamomile tea is well-known for its sleep inducing properties, this may be due to its phytonutrient content, specifically a compound called apigenin, which is believed to have sedative effects," says registered nutritionist Nicola Shubrook. "A 2015 study found that drinking chamomile tea helped postpartum women improve their depression and sleep quality."

Villegas likes to cook an easy vegetable soup with cheese for dinner. "Vegetable soup contains iron, an important mineral if you follow an active lifestyle," says Sylvie Tremblay, MSc. "You need iron to produce energy. Iron helps your muscles store oxygen—which they can use during physical activity—and helps your red blood cells supply your tissues with fresh oxygen. A 1-cup serving of vegetable soup contains about 1.7 milligrams of iron—21 percent of the recommended daily intake for men or 9 percent for women, according to the Linus Pauling Institute. Stir cooked beans to your vegetable soup to boost its iron content—a half-cup of kidney beans adds 2 milligrams of iron."
