List of Allen Texas Mall Shooting Victims

On Saturday, May 6, a peaceful shopping day, they turned into a tragedy at the Allen Premium Outlets mall in Allen, Texas. A gunman opened fire, killing at least eight people and injuring several others before being shot dead by a police officer. The gunman, identified as Mauricio Garcia, was fatally shot by an officer at the scene, according to police.

Texas officials have officially identified the victims, and families have begun to share their grief and confirm the identities of their loved ones who died.

One of the victims was 20-year-old Christian LaCour, who was working as a security guard at the mall at the time of the shooting. His family confirmed his death, and his mother, Tracye Norris LaCour, shared a heart-wrenching message on Facebook: “He’s my baby, my light, my peace, and he’s gone.”LaCour’s family described him as “my baby, my light, my peace” and are heartbroken by their loss.

Another victim was Aishwarya Thatikonda, an engineer who was skilled in various software applications and had a Master’s degree focused on Construction Management. She had recently completed her master’s in the US and was a 2018 graduate of Osmania University in India.

Her father, Narsi Reddy Thatikonda, who is a district judge in Hyderabad, India, wrote a letter to the Allen County Police Department, expressing his grief and requesting information about his daughter’s death.

As the families of the victims mourn the loss of their loved ones, the community stands in solidarity with them during this difficult time. This senseless act of violence reminds us of the importance of coming together to support each other and work towards a safer future for all.

Cindy, Kyu, and their 3-year-old son James Cho were also killed in the shooting. They had been visiting the mall with their 6-year-old son William, who was injured in the shooting but survived.

Additionally, two Latina sisters, Daniela Mendoza, a fourth-grader, and Sofia Mendoza, a second-grader, were also killed. Their mother, Ilda Mendoza, remains hospitalized in critical condition.

The Texas Department of Public Safety identified one victim, Elio Cumana-Rivas, aged 32, who was a resident of Dallas. The shooting resulted in the deaths of eight individuals and injured at least seven others, leaving a community reeling from the senseless violence.
