Geordie Shore star Bethan Kershaw is reminding everyone how important self-appreciation is, no matter what their size. Kershaw, 28, shared an Instagram video of herself finally feeling comfortable in her body, looking confident and beautiful in a bright bikini. "Your body loves you the least you could do is accept it and love it back at any stage of your fitness journey. I've been really trying hard to change my mindset around body image, to accept my imperfections and see them as a beautiful way of nature instead of a project to fix. Back rolls, body fat percentage, cellulite, stretch marks, scars, moles, pimples, dips the list goes on. These are all very normal and natural occurrences when a body is growing and changing ❤️," she captioned the post.

Kershaw is more focused on mental health issues since taking part in reality tv. "Maybe because I'm going through this identity crisis, I feel like I'm changing a lot," she says. "So maybe I just need to find out who I am around my people who I'm keeping in my life and get rid of dead weight. I want to work with mental health and things like that, brain health, neuroscience and stuff like that. I think I'm advocate for it too, I get depressive spells a lot, I get anxiety a lot so I understand how it can be."

Kershaw says taking part in Celebs Go Dating changed her. "You peel back so many layers, you think 'do I want to peel back anymore?' It was really good though, it was very insightful," she says. "The things I took from the agents, the comments and criticism, I can put that to my life now. It was all to make us better people and better daters. I'm dreading it all coming out… It was a waterfall of tears with me. I think probably every episode I was crying. I'm an emotional human being. My emotions run high all the time. I wear my heart on my sleeve, I'm an open book I'll always let it out."

Kershaw says she is no longer interested in just partying for work. "If you don't know who you are and you don't have a sense of awareness of who you are, you can get lost in it," she says. "I'm on Geordie Shore, partying for a living literally just going crazy. It's weird because there's like two different sides to me that not a lot of people know about. I'm struggling a lot at the minute because I'm going from one extreme to another extreme, going out partying, drinking, doing all this crazy [stuff] to zen."

Kershaw has become introspective about her feud with Chloe Ferry, accepting her own part in the matter. "I don't believe in that. I need to hash the situation out, I need to speak about it, and for her, I think she's quite avoidant. I think we are friends, we just need to build that trust up again. I got really hurt in the situation, because it was just a lot to deal with. I had to do a lot of introspection of it, and I had to kind of look at myself, and be like, 'Was I there for her?'"

Kershaw is mindful about any tendencies towards escapism. "It's like an escapism, any kind of drinks, over consumption of social media or TV, alcohol, sex, all of these different things that are dopamine hits, that's all it is," she says. "That's escapism from reality, you're trying to escape your body for some reason. That's where it causes people to have drug problems and alcohol problems and sex problems, cheat on your marriage and all of this stuff. Because you're not being mindful of what you're putting into your body and what you're consuming. I'm trying to live a more fulfilling and self aware life."
