Shearer has anxiety and suffers from panic attacks. She says how she is able to manage them on an episode of the Reflections podcast. "If I ever do have them, I know what to do. I know to be like, I actually had a little one the other day and I was like proud of myself, because my whole body didn't freeze. It was just one hand. I felt it coming. And I was like, 'oh, oh no, I'm gonna have a panic attack.' And I was in the car with someone, and I really didn't wanna freeze cause I'd be so embarrassed. So I was like doing my breathing. I managed to calm my breathing and do all of that."

One way Shearer manages her anxiety is by going to the gym. She says on the Reflections podcast that exercise helps with her mental health. "I know if I'm having a low day or feeling anxious or anything, what would help me is going to the gym. Cause I love working out."

Shearer is a singer-songwriter. She says that writing music is very therapeutic for her. Shearer said on the Reflections podcast that writing helps with her anxiety. "I'll go to try and write a song, because it's like getting all my emotions out there."
