According to a statement made public by the Los Angeles Fire Department on Tuesday, a bystander called 9-1-1 to report a traffic accident in the Hollywood neighborhood’s 900 block of North Cahuenga Boulevard. The LAFD arrived and found a gray vehicle that had hit a curb and a tree.

They discovered Jordan unresponsive and not breathing at that point. He was quickly unbuckled by LAFD responders, who also took him out of the car to start CPR and defibrillation. LAFD paramedics continued these advanced life support techniques for more than 40 minutes.
