Kevin Michael Costner is an actor, producer, film director, and musician from the United States. Among his many honors are two Academy Awards, two Golden Globe Awards, a Primetime Emmy Award, and two Screen Actors Guild Awards.

Costner won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie for his role as Devil Anse Hatfield in the miniseries Hatfields & McCoys (2012).

Costner has been starring as John Dutton on the Paramount Network original drama series Yellowstone since 2018, for which he has received a Screen Actors Guild Award nomination and a Golden Globe award.

In 1983, Costner appeared in a commercial for the Apple Lisa and Table for Five, and the following year, he played a minor role in the nuclear holocaust film Testament. Later, he was cast in The Big Chill and filmed several flashback scenes, but they were cut from the final cut. Costner’s character was Alex, a friend who committed suicide, which is the event that brings the rest of the cast together. Costner knew director Lawrence Kasdan, who promised him a role in a future project.
