Scoot McNairy is a 44-year-old American actor born in Dallas, Texas. He is well-known for his work in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Monsters, Argo, Killing Them Softly, 12 Years a Slave, and Killing Them Softly.

He appeared on television in the western miniseries Godless on Netflix and the AMC historical drama Halt and Catch Fire, True Detective, and Narcos: Mexico.

In movies like Wonderland, Herbie: Fully Loaded, and Art School Confidential, he played a minor role. The alien invasion movie Monsters, directed by Gareth Edwards and starring McNairy, was released in 2010.
