Ex-National Football League player Troy Aikman represented the United States in professional football (NFL). During his time with the Dallas Cowboys, he was a quarterback. During the 1989 NFL Draft, Aikman was chosen first overall. Having played 12 straight seasons as their starting quarterback, he currently owns the record for the most seasons played by a Cowboy quarterback.

He earned the Super Bowl XXVII MVP and contributed to the team’s three championships. Additionally, he was chosen for the Pro Bowl six times. Aikman received the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s 2006 election. The College Football Hall of Fame in New York City then honored him on December 9, 2008, after his induction.
