She was a season 16 America’s Got Talent contestant and a fan favorite.

That season, she won Simon Cowell‘s Golden Buzzer, catapulting her straight to the live shows. Her tale and original song It’s Okay struck a chord with viewers, earning her millions of views on YouTube and plays on music outlets.

Nightbirde cause of death

Nightbirde died on February 20, 2022 from cancer after months of receiving treatment for the disease.

She resigned from the show a few weeks later, saying on social media at the time that her health had taken a turn for the worse.
