PnB Rock, the stage name of hip-hop artist and Philadelphia native Rakim Hasheem Allen, was shot and killed in Los Angeles on Monday afternoon, according to local news outlets.

The Los Angeles Times reported, citing LAPD confirmation, that Rock was shot multiple times while being robbed of his jewelry at a Roscoe’s Chicken & Waffles location in South Los Angeles.

Rock, 30, was taken to the hospital, where he died.

The Times reported that Rock was at the restaurant, which is part of a small but popular soul-food chain in Southern California, with his girlfriend, who had posted a location-tagged photo on Instagram that has since been deleted.
