Sauce Walka is the stage name of American rapper and songwriter Albert Walker Mondane, who was born in Houston, Texas, on June 29, 1990. He has Honduran ancestry.

In 2007, Albert Mondane joined the Houston hip crew Mostheard and launched his rapping career as A-Walk. In 2014, Mondane started putting out mixtapes under the name Sauce Walka. That same year, he also started a group called Sauce Twinz with fellow rapper Sancho Saucy.

In his lyrics, he frequently employs the hip-hop slang phrase “drip,” which he attributes to himself for popularizing. Mondane got notoriety in 2015 by dissing Drake in the song “Wack 2 Wack” and accusing him of stealing Houston hip-hop culture. Sauce Walka has worked with A$AP Rocky, Bun B, Chief Keef, Lil’ Keke, Maxo Kream, Migos, Slim Thug, Travis Scott, Trinidad James, and XXXTentacion, among others.
