The family allegedly delayed his burial after his death in anticipation of his resurrection. There have been rumors that Siva’s relatives and churchgoers used to pay regular visits to the mortuary to pray for his resurrection.

Moodley died of an illness at the age of 53, despite his claims that he could resurrect the dead.

The pastor’s body lingered at the morgue as the days turned into weeks, and the weeks into months, and the months into years, and the years into decades.
