On June 4th, 1996, Skip Marley Minto, a singer from Jamaica, was born. Despite the fact that his parents, Cedella Marley and David Minto, were both from Kingston, Jamaica, Marley was raised in Miami, Florida. His uncle Julian Marley also had the same birthday. He learned how to play the piano, drums, guitar, and bass by himself as a child.

For two Grammy Awards and one MTV Video Music Award, he has received nominations. He released “Life,” his second single, and “Cry to Me,” his debut song, both in 2015 on the Tuff Gong label.

He later signed with Blue Mountain Music, joining his uncles Damian and Stephen on the Catch a Fire tour. Beginning in 2016, he was seen in a Gap 1969 Denim campaign. Marley commenced employment with Island Records in January 2017. The first song that Marley recorded for Island Records, “Lions,” was created by Ilya Salmanzadeh and was made available in February 2017.
