Principal shooting has already begun on Danny Boyle’s Steve Jobs movie, with production setting up shop in San Francisco earlier this month, and today, Universal confirmed the full list of casting choices set to portray the film’s leading roles.

As previously reported, the title role will be occupied by X-Men: Days of Future Past star Michael Fassbender — following Christian Bale’s abrupt departure — opposite Seth Rogen, who is on board to play the integral role of co-founder Steve Wozniak. This core cast will be rounded out by Jeff Daniels’ John Sculley, Avie Tevanian, Sarah Snook and Kate Winslet as a former marketing head.

But as previous reports had indicated, Boyle’s Steve Jobs film will place a heavy emphasis on the impact of the visionary’s first daughter, Lisa Brennan, who will be portrayed by Perla Haney-Jardine, Ripley Sobo, and Makenzie Moss at “various stages” of her life. Rounding out Universal’s billing is Katherine Waterston as Jobs’ ex-girlfriend, Chrisann Brennan.

Taking inspiration from Walter Isaacson’s seminal biography of the late, great Apple co-founder, it’s understood that the motion picture will orbit around the launch of three of the company’s most defining product launches, culminating in the debut of the very first iMac in 1998. As we alluded to earlier, Boyle’s rendition of Jobs will focus heavily on his daughter, so don’t be too surprised should Brennan’s figure eat up a significant chunk of screen time in the final product.

It’s been a tumultuous path to the starting point for Boyle and Co., given that the project was dropped by Sony only to be picked up by Universal a few days later, not to mention the amount of high-profile actors and directors that passed the buck. Now, though, Danny Boyle’s Steve Jobs film is firmly on track, and we’re cautiously optimistic to see how the 127 Hours filmmaker brings Isaacson’s account to life.
