Matthew Forbes Pottinger is an American former journalist and U.S. Marine Corps officer who served as the United States deputy national security advisor from September 22, 2019, until January 7, 2021. He is the son of  John Stanley Pottinger and his wife Gloria Anderson. he was born to his parents in 1973. His exact date of birth is unknown but following his year of birth, he is 49 years old.
