Tim Lincecum recently bought a home close to the lake after selling his $2 million penthouse on the top floor of the opulent downtown tower Escala.

Madison Park, which is surrounded by a lake and covered in hills with soaring fir, pine, and contorta trees, has the feel of being its own tiny town.

Tim Lincecum has been hiding there from the public.

The Attic is a bar located on E. Madison Street down by the lake, close to a bathhouse and a strip of grass that extends into a small beach.

Compared to the other buildings on the block, it is set back from the sidewalk.

A little evergreen tree can be seen in front, and a private patio is enclosed by a weathered red fence.

The bar’s interior is spacious and has a pub-like atmosphere.

Behind the bar, on a screen, are all the beers currently on tap, and a banner advertising the University of Washington hangs from the ceiling.

The walls are lined with dark brown leather seats, and the aroma of fries and beer fills the room.
