My suspicions started at the end of Season 1, Episode 3 when Aaron Shore met with a woman to get a file on Tom Kirkman. Everything about the encounter — the dialog, the music, and even the body language of the actors, seemed to paint a picture of an early conspiracy involving Aaron Shore.

Emily Rhodes and Aaron Shore began their relationship as friends when Kirkman began serving as president. Initially, they disliked each other, though through working together they became friends and there were signs of flirtation early on. In the first season, they shared a kiss, though it was not discussed by the two after that.

Who is Aaron Shore?

Pilot. —. Aaron Shore (né Rivera) is the National Security Advisor to the President of the United States and Vice President-elect of the United States. He was the former White House Deputy Chief-of-Staff in the President Richmond administration and was White House Chief of Staff under President Tom Kirkman.

In Season 3 we learn that Aaron Shore was not his given name. It appears as though he initially lied to his girlfriend Isabel about how his name was changed. He claimed that it was changed by his mother before he started kindergarten to help him fit in. In reality, he changed it himself after high school when applying to college. He says that when he was attending prep school, he had an easier time. He talks about how teachers assumed that english was his second language, and let him off easier. He says that people assumed his scholarship was because he was a minority, and talks about how he didn’t want his heritage to be the reason he got into college. He says that he wanted to be top of his class and valedictorian on his own merit.

They often confront each other regarding their Latin American heritage. They have a major fight, and break up due to numerous differences. As Aaron discusses this fight with his friend Emily Rhodes, he shares that he doesn’t think they can go on. At the end of Season 3, Isabel ended their relationship.

In Season 2, it was revealed that Aaron is the National Security Advisor. He works closely with Hannah Wells . Aaron’s cousin, Nadia Espinosa , having been inspired by Aaron’s actions of going to college then working in Washington, came to DC to work for Congresswoman Yoshida.

What does Emily ask Aaron in season 2?

In Season 2, Emily asks Aaron why they never became a couple. Aaron says that if they had, the two wouldn’t be sitting there having this discourse, or have as comfortable a relationship as they do. They both care for each other, and confide in and look out for each other throughout the show.

Emily asks if he can get over it, and Aaron says that Isabel can’t lose a fight, and that he can’t get over the fact that she put that above what had been one of the most important moments of his life (the debate.) He continues to question what is the matter with Emily, and she confides in him about a family emergency.

After Emily wakes up, she leaves, her emotions at this point are unclear, though she continues to glance at Aaron, who is still asleep. After she leaves the room, we see her walk past Lorriane Zimmer, who she doesn’t notice at the time.
