Golfer John Daly went professional in 1987, and his first pro victory came soon after at the 1987 Missouri Open.

In 1991, he joined the PGA TOUR and won the PGA Championship. Daly received a lot of media attention for this triumph because he was the ninth and last alternate for the event. The other eight alternates were unable to attend.

According to MyFoxMemphis.com, Sherrie Miller, who was married to the notorious golfer from 2001 until 2010, was once arrested after reportedly uploading nude images of a lady she found on her boyfriend’s phone.

After reportedly receiving texts from Miller that were screen captures from her Facebook page with the naked photographs, the lady contacted authorities. 

Authorities claimed to have retrieved pictures from the social media platform. 

Daly is the only qualifying two-time major champion who has never played in the Ryder Cup.

In 1995, John won the British Open in a playoff with Italian golfer Costantino Rocca at St. Andrews.
