Wout François Maria Weghorst, a Dutch professional football player, was born on August 7, 1992.

He now plays as a striker for the Netherlands national team and Turkish Süper Lig club Beşiktaş on loan from EFL Championship club Burnley.

Weghorst, who stands 1.97 meters tall, has played as a center forward, often serving as a “target man” because of his play-holding and heading skills. He is also recognized for being a goal scorer with accurate, quick finishing in and near the box.

Weghorst made his Netherlands U21 debut on October 14, 2014, and scored in a 5-4 loss against Portugal U21.

In March 2018, he was given his first full call-up to the Dutch national team under Ronald Koeman. He made his senior international debut against England on March 23 at the Amsterdam Arena.
